The Gardener

The resurrection is not just a victory over death—it is the Gardener at work again. What was planted perishable is raised imperishable. What was sown in sorrow rises in glory. The same divine hands that formed humanity in the beginning are now reforming creation through resurrection. When Mary mistakes Jesus for the gardener, it is a moment filled with quiet truth: the Gardener has returned to tend what was broken. And what does a gardener do? He cultivates. He restores. He brings life where there was once only decay. God does not abandon what He plants. He shapes us in the beginning. He stays with us in the burial. And He calls us forth into new life. The resurrection is proof that the Gardener never wastes the ground. So when you feel buried—remember, you may actually be planted.
